Suck this medicine slowly or allow it to dissolve in your mouth so it can act inside the oral cavity. How long should this medicine be used? Use this medicine for only a few days without medical advice. See your doctor if symptoms persist. Overdose? An overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, convulsions, and circulatory collapse, among other symptoms. Contact a doctor immediately if you suspect an overdose. Missed a dose? Continue taking your usual dose at the next scheduled time (do not take a double dose). As a general rule, take particular care to ensure correct dosing in infants, young children, and older adults. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any possible effects or precautions. The dose prescribed by your doctor may differ from the information in the package leaflet. Because your doctor adjusts the dose to your individual needs, use this medicine according to your doctor's instructions. Dosage General dosage recommendation: Children 6 years of age and older 1 lozenge several times daily at intervals of 2 hours Adults 1 lozenge several times daily at intervals of 1 hour Alternatively: Adults 2 lozenges several times daily at intervals of 2 hours Maximum dose: do not exceed 12 lozenges per day. Indications See your doctor if symptoms are unexplained or newly develop. - Inflammation of the mouth and throat    - Inflammation of the pharynx (pharyngitis) - Sore throat associated with colds How It Works How does the active ingredient in this medicine work? When applied locally, the active ingredient kills various bacteria and viruses on the surface, thereby acting as a disinfectant. Composition per 1 tablet 0,33 mg cetylpyridinium chloride 1-hydrate 0,28 mg cetylpyridinium cation 2,6 g isomalt + Honey flavor + Levomenthol + Lemon flavor + Ponceau 4R + Quinoline yellow + Patent blue V + Tartaric acid Contraindications When must this medicine not be used? - Hypersensitivity to the ingredients - Hyperresponsive bronchi, e.g., in bronchial asthma or obstructive respiratory diseases, i.e., diseases that narrow the airways - Damaged skin or mucous membranes (e.g., wounds) Which age groups require special consideration? - Children under 6 years of age: this medicine must not be used. What about pregnancy and breastfeeding? - Pregnancy: contact your doctor. Various factors must be considered when deciding whether and how this medicine can be used during pregnancy. - Breastfeeding: contact your doctor or pharmacist. They will assess your individual situation and advise you accordingly on whether and how you can continue breastfeeding. If this medicine has been prescribed to you despite a contraindication, speak with your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit may outweigh the risk associated with use in the presence of a contraindication. Precautions What should you be aware of? - Use caution if you are allergic to the preservative benzalkonium chloride and similar substances! - Use caution if you are allergic to monoterpenes (e.g., menthol)! - Use caution if you are allergic to azo dyes! - Use caution if you are allergic to colorants (e.g., quinoline yellow with the E number E 104)! - Use caution if you are allergic to colorants (e.g., tartrazine (E 102), sunset yellow FCF (E 110), azorubine (E 122), amaranth (E 123), and Ponceau 4R (E 124)). - Use caution if you have an intolerance to fructose (fruit sugar). If you must follow a diabetic diet, take the sugar content into account. - This medicine may interact with other medicines. Before starting treatment with a new medicine, you should therefore always tell your doctor or pharmacist about every other medicine you already use. This also applies to medicines you buy yourself, use only occasionally, or used some time ago.
